8 Day Discoverers’ Glacier Country | 8 days/7 nights From Juneau, Alaska round trip (Luxury Un Cruise)
In Southeast Alaska, the American Safari Cruises yachts meander through the waters surrounding the Tongass National Forest – the largest in the United States – home to grizzly and black bears, mountain goats, bald eagles and wolves. Pass huge icebergs en route to view massive thundering glaciers in Glacier Bay National Park. Enter some of the worlds deepest ords to hike, kayak, and explore the natural wonders of this stunning landscape. Set your course for the whale – rich waters of Icy Straight Frederick Sound & Stephen’s Passage while keeping watch for the telltale signs of humpback, orca, porpoise, sea otters and sea lions.
Day 1: Juneau, Alaska – Embarkation | Arriving in Juneau, you will be transferred from the airport. Upon boarding, your crew greets you with champagne and smiles as you set sail.
Day 2-3: Glacier Bay National Park | Accompanied by a National Park Ranger, over the two days in the park you’ll travel nearly 60 miles cruising up-bay to the tidewater glaciers of Grand Pacific and Margerie, which frequently calve huge icebergs into the bay. Enjoy evenings at anchor in hidden coves, and mornings paddling your kayak. Here in the bay there are puffins and sea lions, mountain goats and bears, moose, eagles, and scenery more spectacular than any place on earth.
Day 4: Icy Strait | Set your course for arguably the richest whale waters in Southeast Alaska. Keep watch for the telltale blow of the humpbacks as you scour the nutrient-rich waters in search of whales, porpoise, sea lions, and other wildlife. Join the Captain on the bridge or go on deck with your Expedition Leader. Late afternoon, drop the skiffs and kayaks for closer inspection of the remote coastline with eyes set on shore for possible bear sightings.
Day 5: Chichagof Island / Baranof Island | Cruise along the waterfall coast of Chichagof Island. Marvel at the grand scenery of Alaska’s wilderness as the crew expertly guides you through those “not in the guide book” places known only to the locals. This evening, perhaps tucking away in magical Red Bluff Bay, there’ll be time for skiff operations and sea kayaking to look for sea otters and bears.
Day 6: Frederick Sound / Stephen’s Passage | Spend the day exploring the serene Frederick Sound and peaceful Stephen’s Passage—another excellent chance to view humpback whales. Pass by Five Fingers Lighthouse and a large sea lions haulout made from dozens of rocky islets.
Day 7: Ford’s Terror / Endicott Arm | Cliff-walled ords sliced into the mountainous mainland are widely acclaimed as the most beautiful in the whole state. Explore this majestic Fjord Terror by kayak or skiff. View rugged ice-covered mountains gleaming high overhead and a glacier that actively calves into the ice-filled ord of Endicott Arm. Toast your voyage with a festive Farewell Dinner.
Day 8: Juneau – Disembark | Gather for breakfast before returning to historic Juneau. A transfer to the Juneau airport or the Baranof Hotel is included.

Day 2-6: Glacier Bay National Park | We cruise into Glacier Bay, one of the crown jewels of America’s national parks with cameras at the ready for exceptional glacier and wild life viewing finding whales, sea lions, sea otters, bears, moose and eagles and more.
Anchoring in remote coves and fjords we lower the zodiac’s, kayaks and paddle boards for a close up inspections of the rugged shore and wild life looking out for bears.
You can go ashore with a park ranger to hike across the sand bars and through the rain forests to go face to face with the glaciers or to take intertidal walks. Visits are made to Marble Island for the sea lion haul out and to the Bartlett Cove visitor centre
Day 7-8: Icy Strait | Today we enter the small boat haven of Peril Strait which connects with the very narrow, historic and wildlife rich Sergius Narrows for another day of exceptional wild life viewing. This evening we hold our festive “Farewell Dinner” where the crew present their photographic journal of your trip with them and next morning gather for breakfast before cruising into Russian influenced Sitka where your cruise end with your onward transfer.
8 Day Inner Reaches Western Coves | 8 days/7 nights From Ketchikan To Juneau, Alaska

Day 1: Juneau, Alaska – Embarkation | Arriving in Juneau, you will be transferred from the airport. Upon boarding, your crew greets you with welcome drink and smiles as you set sail.
Days 2- 6 | We cruise from Ketchikan to Klawock via the El Capitan passage and go ashore there for a trek to explore the caves then onto Klawock for an intercultural experience visiting the Tlingit people at their carving school and totem park.
The calm waters and wilderness foreshores of Fredrick Sound and Stephens Passage offer some of the best opportunities for exploration on water or foot in all of south East Alaska as we anchor in remote coves and fjords and lower the zodiac’s, kayaks and paddle boards for a close up inspections of the rugged shore and whale and wild life watching.
Going ashore with guides hike on the intertidal shores or lush rain forest trails encountering wild life along the way while further on we pass The Brothers Islands to see the Stellar sea lion haul out.
Day 7-8 | Entering the Endicott Arm we pass snow covered mountains with hundreds of cascading water falls on our way to see the glowing blues and white thunder of glaciers calving from the Dawes Glacier at the end of this winding fjord.
In the evening we hold our festive “Farewell Dinner” where the crew present their photographic journal of your trip with them and next morning gather for breakfast before cruising into Juneau the capital of Alaska where your cruise end with your onward transfer
